Coraline "In the know"

I went to see Coraline with Nana Last night, when i first saw it i thought it was ok.. I went in not expecting much, since i knew that after Nightmare, i was going to be disappointed if i set my expectations too high. And i though it was good. But now I am reading an interview with the director and i think that i like it a whole lot more now.

I loved the music, it was cute and creepy and i know i need the soundtrack, and the credits said it was a Hungarian children's choir, but when you listen too it you cant really distinguish any words per say. Like you can hear the language too clearly to even make a guess. The Director said that actually they are singing non-sense words, which i thought was awesome. Since the movie is about childhood, singing in non-sense really fits!

Then at the end of the credits there is a little thing that says "For those in the know: Jerk Wad" So of course i had to know. According to the interview It has to do with when Coraline throws her shoe at Wybie when she is really mad at him, and its a statement on what a big insult that is in the middle east, (example, that guy who threw his shoe at Bush) So the director tried to find a word that was equal to that, and Jerk wad was what he came up with. Apparently you are supposed to find that out on Coraline.com
But that's what the people who are in the know know....and now, you are in the know!
